לאה גולדברג
Leah Goldberg (1911-1970) was a prolific Israeli poet, author, playwright, translator, and researcher. Born in Königsberg, East Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia), she moved to Lithuania and later immigrated to Israel in 1935. Goldberg studied at the universities of Berlin and Bonn, receiving a Ph.D. in Semitic languages and German literature. Her literary career was marked by a deep engagement with European culture and Hebrew literature, and she became one of the central figures in Israeli cultural life.
