Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz

Rabbi Meir Zlotowitz was a pioneering figure in Jewish publishing, best known for founding ArtScroll Publications. Born in 1943, he began his career in the printing business before turning to religious texts. His work started with a simple translation and commentary on the Book of Esther and expanded into a comprehensive library of Jewish texts, including the Talmud, Torah, and Siddur. Rabbi Zlotowitz's contributions to Jewish education and literature have made a lasting impact, making complex ancient texts accessible and understandable to the modern reader. His vision was to preserve Jewish heritage and ensure its continuity by providing engaging and authoritative religious texts.
