Synopsis

A rigorous response to philosophical, archaeological, and scientific attacks on Judaism.

What happens when a theoretical physicist takes on the deepest questions challenging Jewish belief? Emunah and Physics is a bold, brilliant response to centuries of skepticism and a framework for reclaiming faith. With clarity, humility, and intellectual firepower, Dr. Berel Leib Epstein dissects everything from dinosaurs to the flood, from probability theory to prophecy, and shows how science, archaeology, and Torah not only coexist—but illuminate one another.

“A very chashuve work…”

Rabbi Nachum Lansky

Yeshivas Ner Yisroel

“Age of the earth, dinosaurs, the nature of the flood, archaeology…This is a book that is very useful not only to those who are bothered by these questions but to rabbis and teachers who are expected to have answers…”

Rabbi Yitzchak Breitowitz

Yeshivas Ohr Somayach

“A sophisticated defense of Judaism...A must-read!”

Arial Evan Mayse

Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, Stanford University

“Epstein marshals his expertise as a research scientist and physicist…to qualify and resituate scientific phenomena that others misappropriate, so that their alleged conflict with Torah can be intelligently reassessed.”

Curtis Franks

Associate Professor of Philosophy, University of Notre Dame

“Addresses the oft-neglected line between what is known and what remains mysterious… especially useful to an audience that was raised with a religious background that they challenged and abandoned, but now feel a void…”

Ethan Siegel

Popular author, Physicist
