Yosef Qafih
Yosef Qafih, also known as Yosef Kapach, was an Israeli rabbi and scholar born in 1917 in Yemen and passed away in 2000 in Israel. He was a noted authority on Maimonidean studies and worked extensively to translate many of Maimonides’ Arabic-language works into Hebrew, making them accessible to a broader audience. Rabbi Qafih’s translations and commentaries are celebrated for their precision and contribution to Jewish scholarship. His efforts were instrumental in reviving the study of Maimonides’ works within the Jewish academic community and beyond.
