Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki (Rashi)

Rabbi Shlomo Yitzchaki, commonly known as Rashi, was born in 1040 in Troyes, France, and is arguably the most renowned medieval Jewish commentator on the Bible and Talmud. His works are considered foundational within Jewish studies, with his commentaries being studied extensively in yeshivas and Jewish schools worldwide. Rashi's approach is characterized by his clear and concise explanations of the text, often providing the peshat or straightforward meaning.
