Rav Abraham Isaac Kook
Rav Abraham Isaac Kook (1865-1935) was the first Ashkenazi chief rabbi of British Mandatory Palestine and is considered one of the fathers of religious Zionism. His writings on Jewish law and philosophy have made significant contributions to both the religious and philosophical aspects of the Zionist movement. Rav Kook's thought sought to reconcile traditional Jewish values with the modern world, and he advocated for a synthesis between secular knowledge and spiritual wisdom.
