Rabbi Shimon Gershon Rosenberg

Rabbi Shimon Gershon Rosenberg, commonly known as Rav Shagar, was a prominent Israeli Orthodox rabbi and philosopher. Born in 1949 in Jerusalem, he was a leading figure in the Religious Zionist community. Rav Shagar founded the Siach Yitzchak yeshiva in Efrat, where he integrated traditional Talmudic studies with modern philosophy and psychoanalysis, influencing a generation of students and thinkers. He passed away in 2007, leaving behind a rich legacy of published works and recorded lectures that continue to inspire.
