Reb Noson

Reb Noson, born Nathan Sternhartz in 1780 in the Ukrainian city of Nemirov, became the principal disciple of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. After Rabbi Nachman's death, Reb Noson devoted his life to preserving and expanding his teacher's teachings, eventually becoming a spiritual leader in his own right. His works include transcribing and publishing Rabbi Nachman’s lessons and thoughts, as well as composing original prayers and discourses. Reb Noson's dedication helped establish the Breslov Hasidic movement as a lasting spiritual path, characterized by its emphasis on joy, faith, and personal dialogue with God.
