Peter Navarro

Peter Navarro is an American economist and author who served as the Assistant to the President, Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, and the national Defense Production Act policy coordinator under President Donald Trump. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and has been a business professor at the University of California, Irvine, for more than 20 years. Navarro is known for his hawkish economic policies and strong stance on reducing U.S. trade deficits. His works often focus on criticizing China's trade practices and supporting strong U.S. manufacturing policies.
