Menachem Z. Rosensaft
Menachem Z. Rosensaft is a prominent figure in the world of Holocaust remembrance and Jewish activism. Born in 1948 at the Displaced Persons camp of Bergen-Belsen in Germany, he is the son of two Holocaust survivors. Rosensaft has dedicated much of his life to Holocaust education and the fight against genocide and intolerance. He is a founding chairman of the International Network of Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and has held various leadership roles in significant Jewish organizations, including the World Jewish Congress.
Rosensaft has also made considerable contributions to legal and academic fields, particularly in areas related to human rights and genocide prevention. He has served as General Counsel of the World Jewish Congress and teaches about the law of genocide at the law schools of Columbia and Cornell Universities.
