David Bankier
David Bankier (1947-2010) was a prominent Holocaust researcher and the Incumbent of the John Najmann Chair of Holocaust Studies at the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies. Born in Israel, he earned his Ph.D. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His academic work focused extensively on the social and political circumstances that facilitated the Holocaust, particularly the role of the German public and the Nazi regime.
Throughout his career, Bankier published numerous influential works that contributed to the understanding of the Holocaust.
