Mordechai Willig

Rabbi Mordechai Willig is a prominent rabbi and posek, serving as a Rosh Yeshiva at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) of Yeshiva University, a position he has held since 1973. He is a leading figure in the Modern Orthodox community and has published extensively on Jewish law and ethics. Rabbi Willig was born in 1947 and received his ordination from RIETS, where he was a student of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. He is known for his deep knowledge in Halacha (Jewish law) and is frequently consulted on issues of Jewish law by communities around the world. In addition to his role at RIETS, Rabbi Willig serves as the rabbi of the Young Israel of Riverdale in the Bronx, New York.
