Jacob J. Schacter
Jacob J. Schacter is a prominent rabbi, historian, and Jewish scholar. He serves as University Professor of Jewish History and Jewish Thought and Senior Scholar at the Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University. His academic work focuses on the intellectual and religious history of Western Ashkenazic Jewry, from both historical and philosophical perspectives.
Rabbi Schacter has contributed significantly to the study of Jewish history and thought through numerous publications and lectures. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and has received rabbinic ordination from Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem as well as from Rabbi Joseph B.
