David Shatz
David Shatz is an American philosopher, scholar of Jewish thought, and professor of Philosophy at Yeshiva University. He earned his PhD from Columbia University and has edited, co-edited, or authored over twenty books and numerous articles addressing both general and Jewish philosophy. His works often explore themes such as the interface between religion and morality, the nature of belief and identity, and the philosophy of language. Shatz is also known for his deep analyses of the works of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik and other Jewish thinkers. He serves as an editor for several academic journals and is highly respected in both the philosophical and Jewish scholarly communities for his extensive contributions to both fields.
