Dov Waxman

Dov Waxman is a professor of political science, international affairs, and Israel studies, and he holds the Stotsky Professorship of Jewish Historical and Cultural Studies at Northeastern University. He is also the Director of the university’s Gideon Klein Scholar program. His research and teaching focus on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Israeli politics and society, U.S.-Israel relations, and American Jewry’s relationship with Israel.

Before joining Northeastern University, Professor Waxman taught at UCLA and at the City University of New York. He has been a visiting fellow at Tel Aviv University, Bar-Ilan University, and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His academic work has been published in numerous scholarly journals, and he is frequently consulted by print and broadcast media on issues related to Israel and the Middle East.

Professor Waxman is the author of several books on Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including 'Trouble in the Tribe: The American Jewish Conflict over Israel,' which explores the increasingly contentious place of Israel in the American Jewish community. His other notable works include 'The Pursuit of Peace and the Crisis of Israeli Identity: Defending/Defining the Nation' and 'Israel’s Palestinians: The Conflict Within.' His insights and expertise make him a respected figure in the field of Jewish and Middle Eastern studies.
