Sulaiman Addonia
Sulaiman Addonia is a British-Eritrean-Ethiopian author who writes in English. He was born in Eritrea to an Eritrean mother and an Ethiopian father. Addonia spent his early life in a refugee camp in Sudan, following the Om Hajar massacre in Eritrea. His experiences as a refugee deeply influence his writing, which often explores themes of displacement and identity. Addonia's debut novel, 'The Consequences of Love', was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and has been translated into more than 20 languages. He continues to write and speak about issues concerning refugees and the African diaspora, contributing to the broader discourse on migration and identity.
