Joseph Gikatilla

Gikatilla's most famous work, 'Sha'are Orah' (Gates of Light), is considered a seminal text in the study of Kabbalistic thought. In this and other works, he elaborates on the dynamic interplay between the sefirot and the divine essence, offering a complex system of spiritual ascent for the mystic. Gikatilla's teachings had a lasting impact on later Kabbalists, including the influential Isaac Luria.
