Aviva Zornberg

Aviva Gottlieb Zornberg is a renowned contemporary Jewish biblical scholar and literary analyst. Born in London in 1944, she was educated at the University of Cambridge and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Zornberg's unique approach combines traditional Jewish biblical commentary and Hasidic literature with psychoanalysis, literature, and philosophical reflections. She has taught Torah in Jerusalem at Matan, Pardes, and the Jerusalem College for Adults. Zornberg has also lectured at Jewish, academic, and psychoanalytic settings across the world.
