Yehudah Leib Ashlag

Rabbi Yehudah Leib Ashlag, also known as Baal HaSulam for his magnum opus, the 'Sulam' (ladder) commentary on the Zohar, was a prominent Kabbalist born in Warsaw, Poland in 1884. He moved to Israel in the 1920s where he continued his work as a Kabbalist, focusing on the teachings and expansion of Kabbalistic wisdom. Ashlag's main goal was to make the teachings of Kabbalah understandable and accessible to all, which he pursued through his writings and teachings. His works emphasize the importance of spiritual progress and altruism, and he is considered one of the most important Kabbalists of the twentieth century.
