Benzion Netanyahu
Benzion Netanyahu (1910-2012) was a notable historian and an influential figure in the Zionist movement. He was born in Warsaw, Poland, and emigrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1920. Netanyahu was deeply involved in the Revisionist Zionist movement and served as the personal secretary to Ze'ev Jabotinsky. He pursued academic studies and earned his doctorate in history from Dropsie College in Philadelphia. His scholarly work primarily focused on the history of the Jews in Spain and the origins of the Spanish Inquisition, and he was a professor of history at Cornell University.
