Frank Conroy

Frank Conroy was an American author, born on January 15, 1936, in New York City and died on April 6, 2005. He is best known for his autobiographical work 'Stop-Time,' published in 1967, which was widely acclaimed and launched his career as a writer. Conroy's literary output includes several books, among them the novel 'Body & Soul.' He served as the director of the prestigious Iowa Writers' Workshop for many years, influencing many young writers and shaping the landscape of American literature.
