Douglas J. Feith

Douglas J. Feith served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from July 2001 until August 2005, under President George W. Bush. In this role, he helped shape U.S. defense policy in the wake of the September 11 attacks, including policies related to the war on terrorism and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Prior to his appointment at the Pentagon, Feith was a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute. He has written extensively on foreign policy and national security issues, and his writings have appeared in major publications. Feith's career has been marked by his involvement in some of the most significant U.S. policy decisions of the early 21st century.
