Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tolle, born Ulrich Leonard Tölle on February 16, 1948, in Lünen, Germany, is a spiritual teacher and self-help author known for his simple yet profound teachings. He moved to England in his early twenties and pursued a degree in philosophy, psychology, and literature at the University of London. After graduating, he worked in various academic and administrative positions before experiencing a profound inner transformation at the age of 29, which marked the beginning of his life as a spiritual teacher.

Following his transformation, Tolle spent several years living in a state of deep inner peace, often spending time in parks and on park benches in a state of almost continuous meditation. His first book, 'The Power of Now,' was published in 1997 and has since been translated into over 50 languages. The book, which emphasizes the importance of living in the present moment and transcending thoughts, has reached millions worldwide and is often regarded as a transformative work in the field of spirituality.

Tolle's teachings focus on the significance of consciousness, the eternal present, and the interconnectedness of all things. He has written several other books, including 'A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose,' which also became a bestseller. Tolle is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition but draws from a variety of spiritual practices, including Zen Buddhism, Sufism, Hinduism, and the teachings of Jesus. He continues to teach and inspire through his books, talks, and retreats.
