Menahem Mendel Rymanower
Menahem Mendel of Rymanów, born Menahem Mendel Rymanower, was a renowned Hasidic rebbe and a significant Jewish mystical thinker, born in 1745 in Poland. He is best known as one of the early leaders of the Hasidic movement in Galicia, which is now part of modern-day Ukraine and Poland. Menahem Mendel was a disciple of Elimelech of Lizhensk, who was one of the foremost students of the Maggid of Mezritch, the successor of the Baal Shem Tov, the founder of Hasidism.
