David Biale

David Biale is the Emanuel Ringelblum Distinguished Professor of Jewish History at the University of California, Davis. He has authored or edited ten books, including 'Gershom Scholem: Master of the Kabbalah'. His research interests span Jewish intellectual and cultural history, with a particular focus on Jewish secularism and the intersection of religion and politics. Biale has received numerous awards for his scholarship, including the National Jewish Book Award.
