Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm

Rabbi Dr. Norman Lamm was a prominent American Modern Orthodox rabbi, scholar, and leader. Born in 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, he served as the president of Yeshiva University for nearly three decades, from 1976 to 2003. Under his leadership, the university witnessed significant growth and development in both its educational programs and infrastructure.

Rabbi Lamm was also a prolific writer and thinker, authoring numerous works on Jewish theology, philosophy, and law. His writings often explored the intersection of traditional Jewish thought with modern life, aiming to make ancient wisdom accessible and relevant to contemporary society. His commitment to Jewish education and community life made him a respected figure in Jewish circles around the world.
